The original Heuer Carrera introduced in 1963 was the brainchild of Jack Heuer, the visionary CEO and great-grandson of the company's founder. Jack aptly named his chronograph, inspired by racing, after the Carrera Panamericana, a Mexican road race from the 1950s.
